You will evaluate multiple statements that have the aim to end up in the final SPRINT guidelines.
First Consensus Round: For each item, you will report on a 5-point Likert scale
(e.g. 1- extremely important, 2- important, 3- neither important nor not important, 4- not important, 5- extremely unimportant).
Second Consensus Round: The second consensus round will take the same format as the first, but include new items suggested from round 1. Moreover, the aggregated responses from round 1 will be made available for each item. Through this feedback on the collective response, it is hoped consensus on the remaining items can be achieved.
The final round will be a consensus meeting, held either face-to-face or online using Zoom.
This meeting will be facilitated by the authors of the study, to provide a structured means of interaction between individuals, and enable all members to have their voices heard.
Furthermore, the use of a consensus meeting provides experts the opportunity to provide justification of their viewpoint and seek clarification where necessary.
This meeting aims to develop a finalised checklist of important elements required to create an effective VoCI. To achieve this objective, attendees at the meeting will first be presented the results from the last consensus round. Any item that has not reached a consensus will then be discussed and voted upon using the 5-point Likert scale.
All items which have reached a positive consensus at any point throughout the process, will then be discussed further for consideration into the final recommendation.
We will mainly conduct the Delphi process electronically, by using Google forms. Printed copies will be available when face-to-face meetings are held.
If the participant withdraws at the beginning or during the Delphi process, then their data will not be used and will subsequently be deleted.
However, if a participant withdraws after the data has been collected, the data will only be deleted if specifically requested by the withdrawing participant
